Mission
Our principal motivation is derived from the idea that it is essential for an engineering student to have a complete knowledge of fundamental programming techniques. Our objective is to introduce freshmen to fundamental programming concepts and expose them to holy-grail competitions like ACM-ICPC, Google Code-JAM, Facebook Hacker Cup etc. A highly competent and strong team of mentors from the sophomore year guides the freshmen students by conducting regular classes to teach programming and mathematics.
About Fractal
FRACTAL: The Coding Club, IET Lucknow is an active community of students interested in programming and data-structures/algorithms in particular and computer science in general. Our core competencies include mathematical and algorithmic problem-solving with an emphasis on understanding data structures and algorithms. We conduct introductory programming classes and host regular coding competitions and discussion sessions to help students with solving problems on online platforms and develop a stronger mathematical and logical aptitude.
Membership
All freshmen who attend Fractal classes and participate in coding competitions are part of Fractal.
In order to be a mentor at Fractal, interested candidates have to go through an interview round in the 3rd semester of college wherein their coding and communication skills are checked and they are asked problems focused on Data structures and algorithms.
